Vehicle Tracking

Precise tracking of all vehicles moving along the monitored road system provides insights into driver behaviour which may increase traffic safety and flow by improvements of road signage and road design. Already deployed on dual carriageway for 100 km/h traffic

All vehicles are tracked continuously along the monitored road stretch by the Trafsense road monitoring system. Real time tracking of vehicles up to 200 km/h is verified. All lane changes and overtaking are detected, also vehicles choosing an exit.

High resolution vehicle positions

The Trafsense road monitoring system updates all vehicle positions 65 times per second with 1 m resolution.

Vehicle length estimated in real time

The Trafsense road monitoring system sorts all vehicles into three length groups, but does not perform a strict vehicle classification.
